It is my third day here, and today is the day. After a month of fasting, today is the Hari Raya for the muslims. It is celebrated on the 30th here and not on the 1st as in Singapore. So, EID MUBARAK.
Tomorrow, we will be doing a shuttle flight to Jeddah and then back in Singapore on the 3rd. Phew...finally. I can't wait to be home.
Er...will be busy during my day-off and I still haven't posted my trip to Amsterdam too.
Alright, I know I have been hibernating for quite some time now. Yeah... I admit I am pretty lazy to write up some posts and it takes some time to upload those pics too.
Anyway, I am leaving for Abu Dhabi-Jeddah tomorrow and will be quite busy till around mid of October. Hopefully I could squeeze in some time and beat my laziness *hehe.
UpdateS: 1. Just did an Amsterdam and a Taipei flight. Love the trip...not the work, although Taipei's one was not bad. 2. I lost my voice when I returned from Amsterdam.... Omo omo... 3. Mom has arrived in Singapore. We went for a dinner at Park Royal Hotel's resto...I can't remember the name. Nice food, but too oily for me. 4. I helped out with AIESEC in Singapore Student Review Board today. I represented the alumni interviewer... finally, I am back! 5. I am happy now :) 6. counting down....

It's going to be a tight-packed September... Thank God, I have already had a fun week in Jakarta *although I definitely will not mind another few more haha
So...tomorrow I am off to Amsterdam. Followed by a stand-by from 00.00 till 12noon. Straight away Taipei nightstop (yeay yeay....) and then Abu Dhabi-Jeddah.. before I will have my day-off *phew.
So, give me strength and show me your love... we'll get through this ok!

I had my first 'break fast' last Saturday. Not the morning breakfast, but the breaking of fasting.
Yasmine invited us to her grandma's place. She's half Singaporean, half Egyptian. So, we had an Egyptian dinner *yeay yeay. Had so much delicacies on the table... We're consisted of Msian, Indonesian, Dubai-er?, Egyptian, Bangla, Indian, Kenya. Yummy heh...
It was FUN FUN... the food was definitely superb! *too bad I didn't realize it's a break fast dinner and arrived late wif Phoebe.
Yeah... make me realize I do miss hanging out with my friends... man, lotsa stories to tell already leh...
Hahahaha... is today a bad day for you? or is it a happy day?
Worry not...I came across this webpage where cabin crew shared their personal experience on the STUPIDEST questions/incidents on board that they encountered on their flights. Please do note that majority of them were from American/European based airlines.
Laugh hard.....laugh harder *MUAHAHAHAHA
It smells bad in here, could you open a window? (on ground, but still...)
When passengers pointed at the glass of water and asked "What is that?" I would say "It's straight vodka, we want everyone passed out now!"*muahahaha... reminds me of the water vs vodka incident
"Excuse me...do you happen to know what the name of that cute looking island down there is?" Answer-after checking with the flight crew- "yes ma'm, that's Africa!"
"Where is row 20?" "Turn right, walk all the way down past row 19. If you get to row 21, you've gone too far."
Pax: "Where are we?" Without any hesitation no matter who asks, I always reply with a smile, "In the air, exactly where we should be."
Pax: Are all the overheads the same size? (As she is holding a bag large enough to carry 6 months worth of clothing) Me: No there is one in the middle of the cabin that we had designed just for you (I laugh as she goes in search of it!).
Pax: "Pardon me, are we stuck in a cloud?"
"Calm down sir. I said we were out of chicken not fuel"
When the pax ask "What city is that?" my Favorite is Dilligaf, ..... ( fill in the state) = Do I Look Like I Give A %$^&, Iowa
Pax: "That gentleman up there is too tall. I can't see the movie." Me: "Just a moment sir, I'll go see if I can make him shorter...." ~ Of course, I said it in my usual gentle way, so several rows around him were laughing... I just walked away shaking my head in disbelief.......
FA: "Chicken or beef" Pax: "How is the chicken?" FA: "It's dead, Sir"
"Coke"... with ice and lemon Sir? "Is the ice cold?"
"I don't need a landing card for the United Kingdom, do I?"... "Aare you ending your journey here at Heathrow Airport?" "No, I'm not staying in the United Kingdom, I'm going to London"
Made your day?
Wondering how our 'affluent' passengers can be a real clueless creature on earth at times... maybe it is because of the altitude *hehe.
Oh well, if only we could be more... loosened up haha
Boleh dunk sekali-kali gue narsis dikit dengan ngetes2 watsoever hahahaha....
Who were you in the past?
Actor Marilyn Monroe? Veronica Lake? Humphrey Bogart? A scene-stealer like you could have been any one of these legendary entertainers. Like Hollywood's acting elite, you've got loads of charisma and charm, and you know how to use it.Whether you're turning heads on the way to work or making the rounds at a party, you're a people person who loves basking in the spotlight. What kind of girlfriend are you?
Laidback Lover Carefree and easy-going — that's your approach to love and life. Above all, you respect your boyfriend's beliefs, choices, and ideals, making you a trustworthy and supportive force in his decisions. Caring and thoughtful when it comes to your actions, you expect the same in return.Even if you spend every waking moment together, you want to feel like you have freedom and room to breathe. For you, it's important that you maintain your individuality so that you can continue to bring something unique to the relationship. After all, you gotta be you.
What's your secret to success?
Ability to Organize The devil probably isn't in the details for an organized individual like you. When it comes to planning a birthday party, a summer vacation, or a project at work, you're the person who makes sure that it goes off without a hitch. From you inbox to your shoeboxes, you're well versed in the art of organization. We wouldn't be surprised if the contents of your closets, drawers, and cabinets were filed, color coded, or alphabetized accordingly. Prioritizing, planning, and putting into order is no easy feat. But it's part of what you do best. And it's also part of what makes you one of the best! Bravo!
Let me introduce you to my lil friend. Doggie joined our family probably over a year ago. He was brought in by a relative and we were told that he was 3 years old. Doggie, a Pomeranian, is always a cute and sweet friend. Seriously, I have never ever heard him bark. He is afraid of height, he is afraid of any kind of toys. Moreover, he will never run too far away for us to chase.
When I am home, he will then have another friend to play with. And he knows that well for he will always follow wherever my feet go. He will look at you with his big eyes, hoping you would spare some time to play and cuddle him. He loves it.
The truth is... he is already 7 years old, according to a doctor when he fell sick. Recently, there was like an ulcer on the side of his mouth; Doggie lost his appetite. After an X-ray to ensure it was not a tumor, the doctor said it was just an infection and cleaned it up. Doggie was back to normal and his appetite jumped up. He was hungry all the time.
Until....I received mom's message saying that Doggie has a cancer. I am crushed. What will happen?
Oh no... it must be painful and hard for him...
Doggiee........please hang on ya!!! I'll see you soon... hiks hiks
Why not? I definitely think it's unique and beautiful in its own way. Do NOT expect modern hi-rise buildings, pretty temples, clean toilets, super yummy warm food.... they do NOT have all those perfectly like what we are currently having in our tiny red dot.
But... again, it is the whole experience of warmth and serenity. A peaceful place that took me over 6 hours of bumpy ride from Amritsar. Here it is: Dharamsala ^^v (yeay....I visited Dalai Lama's residence).
I left my new SONY in my parents' room at home sweet home. Well...there goes all the funny kinky crazy pics that we took when I went back a week ago. Fine... at least I am going home again next week, so I can ensure I take the camera back with me this time round.
So, knowing that I wouldn't have my new camera on my Frankfurt trip, I had to ensure my old camera was fully-charged. Which I did. But the problem was... I left it on the table top and only realized it when the plane was preparing to take-off. Yeah....
Maybe I do need more nutritions, vitamins, ginkgo biloba, chicken essence...etc whatever.
Another random one...haha but I am excited. Counting down to the days I'll be home again and witness another history-making event in my family ;)
One second you are smiling, and the next second you may be crying. One second you are totally fit, and the next second you may be lying on your bed unable to sit or stand up.
Therefore, for a dear friend there, I am so sorry to hear about it. Hope he'd be strong and get well soon. It is a heartache to know that your loved one is suffering yet you're unable to do anything. Man, now I feel like telling my parents and loved ones how much I care and love them.... before it is really too late.
I know this is random... but I pray for you and your family's strength. Get well soon ya! BE STRONG...PLEASE!!
ps: If there's anything...any slightest thing that I can do...please do let me know.
