foodie fiesta

Ah...after more than 2 weeks of no-rice meals...I finally succumbed today.

After a 1.5hour meeting with Teacher Advisor, I had the urge to eat tempe but couldn't find it.

And my roomie said my soup tastes yummy.

Grateful for all the food *yay*

But despise those layers of fats *shoo shoo

welcome back!

Hey, where have you been?

Me...nowhere. Just locked myself tightly.

Why? I thought you love to say HI to me everyday?

Yah, I know you love my presence too. But I wouldn't disturb you during exams.

I miss you...

You know I never too far away

...

Yeah, I know you're always there. Thanks.

Miss you too!

Welcome back mellow!

***

Don't Walk Away
~ Bethany Joy Lenz
I could never leave you
Even you if you asked me to
I could never say goodbye
And make you cry

I could never stumble
With you walkin by my side
I could never love you
More than I already do

So don't walk away
Don't walk away
Don't lie, tell me that youre gonna stay
Please don't walk away

If I made a promise
I would stay by your side
Its only the beginning
I love you

So don't walk away
Don't walk away
Don't lie, tell me that youre gonna stay
Please don't walk away

Please dont walk away
When all the road is dark and dreary
You know my nature does not sway
This disposition must be washed away forever
So please don't walk away
Please don't walk away
Please dont walk away

But I could never leave you
Even if you asked me to
No, I could never say goodbye
Or make you cry

Halo! Mbak, mami ada?
Oh tunggu bentar ya Yen.
Iya.
.
.
Halo anak manis, ada apa?
Gapapa. Baru selesai interview.
Gimana hasilnya?
Hehe...ga dapet. Katanya wa masi sekolah, jadi mereka ga bisa offer kerja, kan ga bisa ikutan training segala macem and 6 bulan dari sekarang tuh masi lama.
.
.
.
Aihh....shucks!

I need to choose: study or that dream job. And I definitely can't forgo my final semester for this and they know that. It's as though 'we're offering you a job but you reject it. So, we'll keep you in view and when you graduated you contact us and we'll see from then on'. Thanks people, that really made my day. So much for a dream job huh!

I deprived somebody else's opportunity to get this job and no one told me that I shouldn't been there that 'early' in the first place. Why didn't anyone tell me that straight on my face when I applied? Why should I go for 5 rounds before you shattered the whole thing? It's not one, BUT five. Shucks!

Aih..well, at least I got to the final stage.

Thanks Angels for being there for me! Mwahh... ^^

To love or to be loved

**aR**:
- To love
because it takes a lot for me to give my heart to someone...
or ...
maybe because i know i am already very lovable.. haha
Agree! Both part haha *yey..I am lovable....fell of my chair

*s*a*:
- To love
you can't force other ppl to love you so it has to start from you
though it's good to be loved :(
Start from oneself!! Cool. Make things happen rather than wait for it to happen :)

*h*e**:
I want to have the ability to love ppl,
they might not love me back, but it's okie,
and if u talk abt r/s [ref: relationship],
there's never a balance.. it's always titled,
just depends on how much
It hurts when they don't love in return, but better love and lost than nothing at all.

*u**:
- To be loved
soalnya kalo to love tapi ga ada respon, kita sakit atiii...
kaloo be loved,
kita seneng, ada yang merhatiin,
ada yang care
[coz if loved but no respond, it's heartbreaking. If 'be loved', we'd feel delighted, there's someone who pay attention and care about me]
But what if we were the ones who don't love them in return, isn't it heartwrenching for them too?

*r*i*:
mending [prefer to] be loved deh... in that way, i know that i have been loved and i can give my love back in return
Live life to the fullest. Appreciate and cherish what you have :)

I**a*:
dicintai orang, dan kamu menjadi pusat dari jaga rayanya, akan terasa lebih indah
[to be loved. And you're the central of his universe, everything will be much more beautiful]
Nod..nod...nod..
*o**:
Actually both are impt for me, If I have to choose one... I will get loved to someone.
because, If someone like me, I could love her^^;
Learn to love in return? Will it be that easy?

Me? well... I received this question a few times some time ago.
And I forgot what was my respond back then.
But....
In life, I prefer to give than to take.. *altho I dun mind to be the receiving end AT times*
So, maybe I'd be happy to love as **ar** puts it nicely up there. I'm not the kind who love easily, but I do CARE.

Yes...I do acknowledge the pain when love doesn't reciprocate... or when it does reciprocate but someway somehow things just deter them from uniting.
Still, the best is to love and be loved in return. But when it doesn't... I'd prefer to Love.

Hm... so If I chose to love, and he chose to be loved to love back... does it make sense? ^^

What's your stand?

ps: Stand a chance to win an attractive prize. Guess who are the above-mentioned people. Send your entry asap!!

pps: Thanks for sharing guys!

Thursday, November 16, 2006

Four years ago, I had a bet with my hi-skool teacher. A teacher that I used to dislike, but ever since my exchange trip to Japan with him as the supervisor and organizer, I learned to know him more and we became friends. But this is not the point... *hihi

I was complaining to him about how I was so unprepared for my Unified Chinese Exam [UEC - equivalent to A level] when out of the blue he said, "If you scored more than 5As, I'll treat you in a nice restaurant." I was too pessimistic that I negotiated for 3As.

A big NO was thrown on my face *wakaka

In the end, I scored more than that. But the treat hasn't been realized till now. I am fine with that as his trust over me is much more precious than a nice meal. I guess I was LUCKY, considering I went for a Genting trip a month before the exam to support my friend's singing competition [while my classmates started studying since the beginning of the year].

It happened again, one night in February when I was checking my email. I received an offer from NTU *yeay* and it was for my first choice of faculty *yeay yeay*. I guess I was darn LUCKY that I got what I want.

But then again, I don't consider myself LUCKY just because of the big big things that happened, are happening, happens and will happen in my life.

The sweet small little things do brighten my life.

MSN chatting:
Ah...Test gue besok, doain ya! [My test is tomorrow. Pray for me yar :)]
Everyday!
*smug*

SMSes:
when you need someone ...
to be there for you ...
I will just sit ...
right beside you!
MOVE A LITTLE BIT LAH, SO I CAN SIT!

my AIESEC sugarcubes that never fail to bring back my smile:
"... you always wake me up haha. ... stay in the same room with you is just like a family"
"... Really admire your passion, good spirit and great sense of fun!"

The endless support and encouragement that I receive. From JIA YOU, All the best, Take care, Aza aza fighting, you can do it, G'luck ya, pasti aku doain, and so on and on.

From smiles, taps on my shoulder, listening ears, hugs, hands that ready to lift me up, ...

I AM A LUCKY GIRL!!

Ahh..and you know what? I am GRATEFUL that I have my angels looking after me ^.*

ps: I really need that LUCK next Thursday, so please stay my dear angels.

pps: Two scary papers are over. Don't ask me how they were, I won't think about them haha

Take it as it comes
Let's say you have a lemon that you'd like to let it go
If you tell the world about it with a whisper,
Apologising for its shortfalls, at the end of the day
You'll still have your lemons.
Remember this.
One person's lemon
Is potentially another person's dream project.
When you see a rusty old motorbike,
They see a showroom-condition collectible.
Your rundown old cottage
Is a DIY enthusiasts' ideal home.
A cooker whose door keeps falling off
Is a rag and bone man's bargain.
So climb a tree and shout about it exactly as it is,
And someone will always turn up
Who likes it that way.

Ingredients of LOVE

Understanding - how far will you go to be understanding?
Caring - Show it... or else how does she/he know?
Forgiving - why must it be frozen? so that we're numb from all the 'things' that happen
Unsalted romance - tasteless?
Hugs - thanks, that's so sweet *muahaha
Sweet kisses - I shall refrain myself from giving false comment and impression
Love - BUNCH BUNCH BUNCH and ENDLESS please! *wakaka

*Abrakadabra...alakazam... and yah, please make him special!! lol

Received this email from a friend and it's meaningful.
So, I shall share this with those I care.

Read, comprehend, reflect and contemplate.

Life is A Gift

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she's blind.

She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He's always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend. One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she can see everything, including her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend asked her, "now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"
The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend is blind too, and refused to marry him.
Her boyfriend walked away in tears.
He later wrote a letter to her saying, "Just take care of my eyes dear."

This is how human brain changes when the status changed.
Only few remember what life was before, and who's always been there even in the most painful situations.

Life Is A Gift

Today before you think of saying an unkind word
- Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food
- Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife
- Think of someone who's crying out to God for a companion.

Today before you complain about life
- Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children
- Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn't clean or sweep
- Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive
- Think of someone who walksthe same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job
- Think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another
- Remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down
- Put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around.

Life is a gift, Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, And fulfill it. :-)

How I miss ALL these

My Indonesian Orientation Camp Main Committee 2004/2005. This was our post-Get Together Day outing. A yummy steamboat buffet at Seoul Garden and continued with rounds of bowling championship *haha...and I lost shamelessly!

Of course, a great event is supported by its determined and enthusiastic members. My Programme Officer team was beyond words. We sailed through more than 80 hours of meeting, crazy juicy and creative ideas, stress that killed and still.... the spirit STAYS. Darn a great time back then *missin those nights and days of meeting and meeting and meeting*. Waks..I am addicted to meetings??

Again...my senior camp this year for the Get Together Day. This was taken at the recently refurbished Clarke Quay. I like the design n style. Let's give The Hulkas a round of applause. These people were the lucky senior attach for The Hulkas *hehe :)

See...I never miss a single chance of getting involve in my Indonesian Orientation Camp - get Together Day. It's just too hard to let go.

1st year: participant. Made was the President *hihi*. Succesfully gotten myself the most vocal 'ternyolot' title from Made *hiak hiak.
2nd year: Programme Officer Maincomm, inc harge of Sports Games with Adrianto. Get wet with us!
3rd year: Group Leader for 'Haqim Bau' with Papi Ainun. Man..I really love this team, annoyingly glued and bonded and LOUD. Won 'THE LOUDEST' group award.
4th year: Group Leader for 'The Hulkas' with Papi Anton. A mixed of unpredictable group of people. From shy, loud, crazy, creative, vocal, ... And again, we won the award for Sports Games. It's H to the U to the L to the K A S... Hulkas Hulkas Hulkas Huh!

Next, I miss my South Korea trip with mum during school holiday back in June 2004. Yummy beef, gorgeous vista, pretty Korean girls, fashionable fashionistas, irresistable heels, curly hair and many more... . Want it again! Slurpee.. I love Korea.

And these people... remind me how I love Korea. But I do love them more! GOSH...you are all unbelievably amazing. Thanks for opening my eyes and heart in a way that I never thought I would. Bring it on yay. ^.^v

MISS.. MISS.. MISS...

Arghh...guess pre-exam stress is haunting me.

Shh....I have a GREAT GREAT news for my AIESEC in NTU. The excitement even exceeds my own Final Year Project...weirdo!! Toldja later or check my AIESEC in NTU blog.

You Are a Dreaming Soul

Your vivid emotions and imagination takes you away from this world
So much so that you tend to live in your head most of the time
You have great dreams and ambitions that could be the envy of all...
But for you, following through with your dreams is a bit difficult

You are charming, endearing, and people tend to love you.
Forgiving and tolerant, you see the world through rose colored glasses.
Underneath it all, you have a ton of passion that you hide from others.
Always hopeful, you tend to expect positive outcomes in your life.

Souls you are most compatible with: Newborn Soul, Prophet Soul, and Traveler Soul
What Kind of Soul Are You?

AM I?
