Just came back from Manchester again. Nothing much this time round, just spent our time browsing the shops and checking their sales ^^.
Tried the so-called delicious fish and chips at The Banks... not bad, although the fish still had a slight fishy taste. I was the only one who finished though -__-''
I am just tired tired and tired. The flight back was crazy (as expected for morning flights) where the call-buttons were almost non-stop and there were many kids and elderly on board. Part and parcel of the job.
and tomorrow... I have to work too. No day-off, coz I gave away another flight which eats into this manchester. Dang... I am exhausted!!!
Can't wait for my leave to come.... I'll be home then :)
After over 13hours of flight, 2hours of reporting... we finally reached Manchester.
It is supposed to be summer now, isn't it? NO!! When the captain announced that it was 16degree outside... I went 'oh-no', not even a jacket in my luggage.
Nevertheless, the tribe has spoken. We were to visit Old Trafford no matter what!

Again... as soon as we touched down in Zurich and reached our hotel, we decided that we would embark on a short trip to Schaffhausen. A must visit place for this trip is the Rhine Fall, especially since it is summer now.
So, how to get there: 1. Take a train from the main train station (train departs almost every 20-30mins). There are direct trains to the city of the the fall itself, but some may require you to change train. We took the latter as it is cheaper and fit our timing well. The return tix cost 23euro. 2. We had to change at Winterthur to get to Rhein Fall (we selected the fall as the final stop, NOT the city) 3. ..... ta da
That's the Rhein Fall station
We chose to climb up to the top. The view was breathtaking for sure.
Awh...can I have this?
Colourful summer
Where to go next?
Result of my hard-work: see the 'mice'?
ta da.... Rhein Fall
It was really HOT!! We were fortunate as we came in summer time where the mountain snow melts and they just had a few days of rain. So, that explained the flowy water at the fall :)
With Karen.. we both fell asleep during the short train trip -___-''
The boat ride from one end to another cost 2.5CHF per trip. If you want to visit the small 'island' shown above where you can stay there embracing the summer heat and refreshing 'water fall', be prepared to pay 10CHF.
Last pix before I bid farewell.
We were to tired to explore the city, so we headed back to Zurich.
And....
Found this at the main train station!!!
That's what I called EUROCUP fever!!! Woohooo....
So cuteee.... and hugeee.......
Kick my *ss...
This is where they held the match in Zurich, Stadium Letziegrund. It is only a block from my hotel.... imagine if I reached there on 17th June instead ^^
Nice fall... unbearable heat...
This half-day trip to Rhine Fall cost: 23 CHF for return train tix 7.8 CHF for 24-hour tram pass 1 CHF for entry to get near to the fall 5 CHF for the return boat ride to the other end 5.7 CHF for 'lunch' (a sausage and a pc of bread) 3.9 CHF for Nestea
sigh... it is expensive to dine and travel in Switzerland
I like Europe more than any other continents *as of now. The history, the architecture, the atmosphere, the exotic languages... I simply love it.
Another thing that I like is that I can travel around quite easily (although it is slightly scary especially when I do not know the language) and it is pretty much safer than some parts of the countries that I have lived in :)
So... there we were... two curious souls longing for some European flavor in Frankfurt.
At Heidelberg station
Finally we reached the Alstadt 'old town' after getting lost
Uwahhh...so nice!!
starved to death.... and my huge delicious lunch
OK...after lunch, we have to shed some cals... time to climb up to get to the castle!
ah...reaching soon :)
The view from 'almost-there' spot: Heidelberg city
man... ain't it gorgeous! forget about getting lost or being tired... being there was awesome
The castle!!

toy store.... arghhh just like in a fairyland
okay..the funny thing was that we took the Express train back to Zurich when our ticket only entitled us for a regular train. Unfortunately, there was a check right at Heidelberg station and we were 'kicked out' from the train at the next station. There we were.. in the middle of nowhere hahaha waiting for our train to come ^^
A tiring day. On our walk back to the hotel, suddenly a large group of roller-bladers passed through...woo hoo what an event!!
And so before I bid good-night... I took a pic from my hotel room :)
The great things about traveling by ourselves are: 1. Familiarizing yourself with their transportation system is cool. Next time you can travel on your own without worries 2. Getting to know interesting people along the journey 3. Learning from observing others behaviours and way of life 4. Brushing up your map-reading skill 5. You see more things than when you take a regular coach or tour package 6. The time is yours 7. Cheaper option?? let's see... my other friend spent 69euro for the tour package.. we spent: 29.5 euro for return train tix 3 euro for entrance 4 euro for english-guided tour total: 36.5euro 8. ....
Thank you so very much for all the wishes. It means a lot to me, simply because at least I worth the time and effort to be remembered and greeted *haha. Nah...seriously, thanks much.
Nothing special happened, no celebration, no party, no tears and laughters, nothing... but me lying on the hotel bed watching TV and working my a*s off back to Singapore. I had some really nice passengers on board, but I also had some devils that ruined my mood. Well... life goes on somehow huh!
For some people..it is another year older. True though. But it is also a blessing coz you've come so far... lived life...loved and be loved. My wishes stay the same: be happy and be a better person.
I am truly blessed to have great friends around me... love you guys, love you mum and dad, love you sis n bro, love you love!
Yeay.....I just cleared my Probation yesterday *muahahaha.... no more 'P' next to my name... but that also means... I have to be ready for whatever comes my way, I am a full-fledged crew now :) CONGRATULATIONS Batch 928!!!
Finally, after over 6 months we will be meeting again *at least some of us haha* to celebrate this next week. Am so looking forward to it.
The past week or two, I managed to meet up with some friends. Happy happy... Met brother Melvin and Brian for 928 over steamboat buffet and crappy talks Met Ratna in Sydney and reminisced our hi-school life and shared our stories Met AIESEC friends for a Japanese dinner at Waraku last night... finally!! after missing so many events.
I was severely exhausted by the end of this trip that I just want to rest and do whatever things that do not require me to think much *lol.
This flight to New York was via Frankfurt. In total, I think we're outstationed for around 8-9 days. Singapore-Frankfurt-NewYork-Frankfurt-Singapore. I'll blog about the Frankfurt one later on...that one was more exciting for me, simply coz I am a fan of European countries than the USA.
We were already prepared for take-off when suddenly the plane turned out from the runway to the remote bay. Oh my... some technical glitches. The engineers had to rectify the problem and we waited in the aircraft for over 3 hours. Imagine the unhappy passengers... the frustration... the disturbed plans... and yeah, we had to work extra hours and works too. Our own plans went down to drain as well, no more sightseeing... we were barely able to keep our eyes open, to stand still with our tired souls by the time we reached NY.
After a real knocked-out, Rika (my junior high-school friend) called me at 11pm. Just before 12midnite, we were out for a 3-hour Japanese karaoke session *muahahaha. Real funny guys and great singers. Rikaa.....so happy to meet you after a few years huhuhu
Cheers! She is getting married in September *Chukae...Congrats...Omedettou
The trio...they can really sing!!
In the morning, Carose and I were out for sightseeing :)
But before that, I need to recharge ^^
My big fat American breakfast Omelette with bell-pepper & onion, toast potato and toast bread
Central Park (it's too big...)
Later on, we headed to the Promenade to catch a ferry to the Libery statue
Queue...queue...
Leaving behind Manhattan
I can see the Eiffel There is a mini Liberty in Paris, do you know?
Mini Liberty!!
The REAL Liberty!!!
Liberty's back-side *haha
A glimpse of you...
Back in the cosmopolitan city...
Madison Square
24-hour hustle bustle Times Square
Not in the morning, not at night... the neons are ON!
Famous for being famous, Times Square
seriously... lively ^^'
The best meal I had in New York was from this restaurant...
The ribs with Jack Daniel's sauce from TGI Friday's
This meal cost me USD30,- but I miss it... and they don't have it in Singapore!! Whyyyy.....
A complimentary brownie with caramel sauce and vanilla ice-cream from them... slurpee.

As well-written and commented by Brian on his blog below:
If pain collected in your body like fat cells do, I think much of it would have come from that first love in your life. When you watch a film like this one and you are past the age where boy bands mean very much all you can think to yourself is thank god I never have to go through that ever again. Yet there is a certain purity in that pain that is never the same no matter how many relationships you go through in life. First love is a subject that Japan takes seriously in their movies and they churn them out fairly regularly with a well tested formula of innocence and tragedy awaiting the viewer. These films are quite popular around Asia and I have noticed many of them showing up in theaters in Hong Kong and around Southeast Asia. First love hurts everywhere, but the Japanese seem to have gotten it down better than anyone.
Sky of Love hits you with a lethal combination of cuteness and tragedy that is hard not to fall victim to. I assume the audience around me at the Pusan Market was a fairly hardened jaded one, but sniffling was heard from every corner and everyone seemed to wait until the end credits were over so that they had time to compose themselves a little bit before facing the lights in the lobby. I told the TBS representative (producer of the film) that the film had everyone in tears and she says “I know, we should have had Kleenex available for people”.
Sweet...
Shhstt... prepare some Kleenex before you watch this *.^
Muahahahaha now that I am back from my 'delusional' mode... I realize I made a stupid mistake in spotting the English word in the previous post heh. Thanks for pointing it out hauhuhuahau *sheepish....super duper embarrased -____-'' OK lar...to avoid further confusion, I'll take that post out yeah.
On a side note, I was really happy when they called me up to do a Seoul flight and disrupted my Guangzhou turnaround. Why? Of course doing a lay-over flight is my preferance than a turnaround flight.
But well... I was kinda wrong for this round. Why? I'll tell you next time lar.
Anyway, it was a short stay in Seoul. The call-up time was 5.45am (GMT+9 for Seoul)... man!!! I went shopping anyway and tasted some local food. From Bulgogi, Chicken Kimchi Soup, meat stick and bbq octopus from the road stalls *hahaha...
Bought Nophie a dress to celebrate her new dept. Chukae!! I look good in that dress too, ok... so in case you don't want to wear it or er... I need it.. can I borrow too? hahaha
Everything is expensive in Korea, except for local food and make-up or skincare products. So... here are what I got!
NOOOO... these are NOT what I bought! They are free gifts ^o^
These are what I bought haha that's what I like about Korea... free gifts even before you buy anything from the store
I really need a good rest before my long flight. This flight took so much energy and emotion huh!
Apa iya kesendirian itu tidak enak? Tidak ada yang diajak berbagi katanya. Sepi. Bosan.
Entahlah.
Bingung.
Terlalu lama berteman dengan kesendirian. I'm lost.
