OMG!!

US dollar reached Rp.12000,- this afternoon. Shares went crazy, businessmen went mad...ARGHH!! and now Imagine that Rp6200 for a Singapore dollar, what else can sulk me more? Huhuhu...getting even more expensive for food, tranportation fee, entertainment fee, miscelaneous...aiya...why?

Talk about the world's shortage of oil and the rising price...what can we do? *sigh....the world has gone out of his mind (note: I use 'his' hehe). Stressful life huh!! or maybe it won't be that stressful if we don't expect that much... =.=

By the way, now I have to start choosing my Professional Internship companies. For phase I, I have to choose 3 out of 77. Hm...It's a free day for me. 50th NTU Anniversary, so it's a half day school and my lecturer cancelled our class. No make up lecture, but she taught two chapters last week. Haha not bad, because that was the only day that I woke up entirely throughout her lecture hauhauha *bad bad..usually I always fall asleep. Not entirely my fault though, the way she presented it was way too boring...you should see how many people actually turn up from the whole batch (hm...from around 150 ppl, I think only around 50++ sit dearly and listen to her...or not even listening? hihi)

Okai...now let's move to another topic...and jujur gue lagi males mikir pake english..(dun wanna hassle you guys by checking dictionary to find out the proper meaning behind my stupid-silly english vocabs hauhauhau *maksa mode on)

Hm..Jumat sore kemaren, akhirnya gue skipped lesson for the 2nd time for this semester haha *what an accomplishment*, gue ga sempet balik dari Orchard setelah ada something going on there. Ya ude lar, daripada nanggung, mending gue langsung jalan2 cuci mata, had time for my own. Then begitu gue pulang, ahh masi pagi..palingan jam 6an gtu, yah gue totally had nothing to do, alias NO MEETING!! Hm..mikir2, mao paen ya? ah..ude deh...baca2 artikel buat bikin my weekly review essay. Walo in the end, kayanya gue mala kerjain yg laen deh hihi and tu essay selesainya ari Sabtu, setelah pulang dari whole-day-meeting (10am-430pm)..there gone my Saturday -.-'

So, the problem is....I realize that I'd prefer to have something going on, anything. It can be a meeting, an appointment, an event, etc. Kalo diem ga ada kerjaan gtu, alias agenda gue kosong and no direction on where to go...I'm a lost child. Gue mala stress juga karena ga tau musti ngapain, musti kemana, and musti gimana. Mao bikin essay..hm..males2an. Mao baca artikel or teksbuk, eh..mala bobo kaya kemaren..super2 unproductive!!

Maybe gue emang ditakdirkan ga bisa diem *mommy, now I know how you feel when you are free*...workaholic?? Kalo diem kaya sekarang (iya neh..gue free ampe gtar sore huhu)..mala binun..kok punya banyak waktu mala ga di-fully utilized, mala cuci baju, cuci seprei, masak, isi blog, chatting, buka2 teksbuk but ga dibaca.. Kenapa ya? Sabtu kemaren, akhirnya dalam 3-4 jam gue berhasil nyelesein essay gue..it's not urgent as I will only need it on Wednesday.

Bahkan, gue lebi terasa sedang belajar kalo dikejer2 waktu, ketika lagi sibuk2nya. Coz gue bakalan nyuri2 waktu biar bisa baca readings gue, dari baca2 d bus, MRT, nungguin orang, and so on. Bobo di MRT and bus juga ude jadi santapan biasa haha *kasian banget ne anak..bobo kok di mana2*...yah..maybe gue merasa lebi berguna kalo sedang sibuk, sedang ada kerjaan. Tantangan hidup gue lebi kerasa, and time is not taken for granted.

Or maybe...I'm just not good enough in prioritizing things: study or organization, kia su or socialising..yeah...I am just Diana after all, not a perfect Diana...

Today, there is one interesting incident that happened when I was working. I was appointed as a 'runner' today, meaning that I only serve food and am not responsible for taking any order. So, suddenly there was some HOO-HAA at the cashier. Busy with my work, I just knew that something went wrong...and it has got to do with MONEY...yeah, what else can it be?

Apparently, a server (*unknown, undetected and need not be disclosed haha) gave the change to the wrong customers. And yet, these customers ( *unknown and undetected also) did not say anything and just left. Thus, the customers whose change was supposed to be delivered waited for quite some time before they told a server. And there went the HOO-HAA...

What's interesting is that the customers who received the 'wrong change' did not tell the servers or try to clear the air. They just left with the money. Yow..talk about those cheapo people, or maybe they didn't even realize it...huh!! Sadly, we -staffs- have to reimburse the money from our tips...hiks..hiks...and it's almost $10 (*an Indonesian Art Festival tix). Bye bye my tips...my bonus...my money...

Oh yeah...talking about money, I haven't received my pay for July. they said it'll be accumulated and paid together next month as they sent in my particulars to the HQ a bit late. So, it will only be debited to my a/c on September *thinking about the one-week break on Sept haha. Yeah, wait for all my money to come in during recess week....now I'm asking myself...Do I have time to use it wisely? hauhauhauhau *evil laugh..

So now...what can I do? I'm painstakingly tighting my belt....huhu talk about those money money money...

Yeah..
NO money..
NO talk...

Heya all!!

How's life been doing? been quite pissed off, why is blogger.com so difficult to sign in now? everytime I wanna update my blog..it takes thousands and thousand of seconds to sign in....not to say those countless 'refresh button'.

However, this morning I came across one of my Friendster's friend's blog: Andina, from University of Indonesia. A theme on her blog has captured my interest, about 'just that one second'.

She told a story about her lecturer who was very nice, kind-hearted and liked by everyone. One day, this lecturer finally decided to quit teaching and focused on being the leader of Indonesian Media Committee (sorta like this lar..haha). Everyone was kinda sad by the thought of missing someone dearly to them. But, what shocked them most was when suddenly..just by that one second, they receive a news. Their dearly teacher got stroke, from toe up to his neck. Just by that one second, when he was a healthy and strong person, and suddenly turned 'half-vegetable'. Life..you cannot predict!!

Another time, she was informed that two of her friends, a couple who went home on a motorbike, met with an accident. It was just in that mere second. Rushing to the hospital, she couldnt help herself but to take her friend's hand into hers. They were never that close though, but the thought of missing someone has taken her aback. She doesn't want to lose anyone, not even a mere 'friend'.

And so she realized, how in that one second, only that mere second, life can change drastically. Therefore, appreciate what we have now, because we may not have time to regret later..or maybe when you have, it's all too late...

I don't want to feel that way, and nor I want you too...
so, just lemme tell you how precious you are for being part of my life. Life is not always smooth, and thus I thank you for always be there for me..regardless of what my mood is ^^'

So...a simple gift for a special friend..

I believe in angels,
The kind that heaven sends,
I am surrounded by angels,
But I call them friends.
- Aizabel Parinas -

And here simple thing that I wish I could do..always..

Standing by,
All the way.
Here to help you through your day.

Holding you up,
When you are weak,
Helping you find what it is you seek.

Catching your tears,
When you cry.
Pulling you through when the tide is high.

Just being there,
Through thick and thin,
All just to say, you are my friend.
- Brittani Kokko -

And lastly,
A Friend's Greeting
I'd like to be the sort of friend that
you have been to me;
I'd like to be the help that
you've been always glad to be;
I'd like to mean as much to you
each minute of the day
As you have meant, old friend of mine,
to me along the way.
I'd like to do the big things and
the splendid things for you,
To brush the gray from out your skies
and leave them only blue;
I'd like to say the kindly things that
I so oft have heard,
And feel that I could rouse your soul
the way that mine you've stirred.
I'd like to give you back the joy
that you have given me,
Yet that were wishing you a need
I hope will never be;
I'd like to make you feel as rich as I,
who travel on
Undaunted in the darkest hours with you
to lean upon.
I'm wishing at this time that I
could but repay
A portion of the gladness that
you've strewn along my way;
And could I have one wish this year,
this only would it be:
I'd like to be the sort of friend
that you have been to me.
- Edgar A Guest -

Thank you for being my friend...p(^o^)q

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY
= 60th INDONESIA =

Darn..hate it. Last night when I was typing a long quiz for the blog and wish my country a better future..who knows incidentally I closed the windows because of another stupid window huhu...okei so for today, just check what is your Birth Number ok. Mine is 6 hoho...

Your birth date describes who you are, what you're good at, and what your inbornabilities are. It also points to what you have tolearnand the challenges you are facing.

To figure out your Birth Number, add all thenumbers in the birth date together, like in the example, until there is only one digit. A Birth Number does not prevent you from being anything you want to be; it will just color your choice differently and give you a little insight.

Example:
March 20, 19503 + 20 + 1950 =1973
1 + 9 + 7 + 3 =20
2 + 0 =2
2 is the Birth Number to read for the birth dateinthe example.
#1 THE ORIGINATOR
#2 THE PEACEMAKER
#3 THE LIFE OF THE PARTY
#4 THE CONSERVATIVE
#5 THE NONCONFORMIST
#6 THE ROMANTIC
#7 THE INTELLECTUAL
#8 THE BIG SHOT
#9 THE PERFORMER--------------------------------------------------------------

# 1 - THE ORIGINATOR
1's are originals. Coming up with new ideas and executing them is natural. Having things their own way is another trait that gets them as being stubborn and arrogant. 1's are extremely honest and do well to learn some diplomacy skills. They like to take the initiative and are often leaders or bosses.----

#2 - THE PEACEMAKER
2's are the born diplomats. They are aware of others' needs and moods and often think of others before themselves. Naturally analytical and very intuitive they don't like to be alone. Friendship and companionship is very important and can lead them to be successful in life.-----

# 3 - THE LIFE OF THE PARTY
3's are idealists. They are very creative, social, charming, romantic, and easygoing. They start many things, but don't always see them through. They like others to be happy and go to great lengths to achieve it. They are very popular and idealistic.-----

# 4 - THE CONSERVATIVE
4's are sensible and traditional. They like order and routine. They only act when they fully understand what they are expected to do. They like getting their hands dirty and working hard. They are attracted to the outdoors and feel an affinity with nature.-----

# 5 - THE NONCONFORMIST
5's are the explorers. Their natural curiosity, risktaking, and enthusiasm often land them in hot water. They need diversity, and don't like to be stuck in a rut. The whole world is their school and they see a learning possibility in everysituation.-----

# 6 - THE ROMANTIC
6's are idealistic and need to feel useful to be happy. A strong family connection is important to them. Their actions influence their decisions. They have a strong urge to take care of others and to help. They are very loyal and make great teachers. They like art or music. They make loyal friends who take the friendship seriously. 6's should learn to differentiate between what they can change and what they cannot.-----

# 7 - THE INTELLECTUAL
7's are the searchers. Always probing for hidden information, they find it difficult to accept things at face value. Emotions don't sway their decisions. Questioning everything in life, they don't like to bequestioned themselves. They're never off to a fast start, and their motto is slow and steady wins the race.-----

# 8 - THE BIG SHOT
8's are the problem solvers. They are professional, blunt and to the point, have good judgment and are decisive. They have grand plans and like to live the good life. They take charge of people. They view people objectively. They let you know in no uncertain terms that they are the boss.-----#

9 - THE PERFORMER
9's are natural entertainers. They are very caring and generous, giving away their last dollar to help. With their charm, they have no problem making friends and nobody is a stranger to them. They have so many different person....*sorry..kepotong hehe

Yosh..finally can log in and create a new post ^o^

last weekend has been a super duper busy one. AIESEC (world's largest youth organization which exists in 80 countries and territories and more than 800 universities all over the world) had its Orientation Camp 2005 to welcome its new member and to introduce @ to them. I am (yeah..it has not done yet) in the logistics team with Johnny (the VP), Chin Yoong a.k.a. CY and Siew May.

On the day itself, I have to painstakingly wake up at 7am and rushed to Dairy Farm (DFAC) at Bukit Timah with DiDi (a.k.a. Adi Nugroho). That morning wa s a chaos. It turned up that the other group who was using DFAC will only check out at 11-12 whereby our plan is to start setting up at 10-1030 =s the warden was upset as we came way too early, and so sorry that CY was scolded for don't-know-how-many-times...aiya...Uncle was having a bad day I guess..But logistics rockzz...others were astonished by us as there were many last minute decisions that had to be taken due to certain circumstances that happened. Thanks guys...you're superb!!

I learned from the event that "don't judge a book by its cover". Many actually showed up just to show their faces, and no helping hands were given huhuhu and my team has to move tables, chairs (or shall I call these benches), tons and tons of trash, and many more...Some of the committee are reliable and helpful enough to lend us their hands, but as I mentioned earlier, some just DON'T!! *grrr...

After slept for less than two hours on Sunday morning, finally I slept for almost 14 hours on Sunday night after the event. Hahaha and I am proud to declare that I slept from 7pm till 9am the next day...cihuyy!! there gone the plan to go to Jurong Point and buy some stuffs.

Okei..dat was how I spent my weekend...weekend that was never mine coz of the activities and clubs that I am involved in.

So today, went for a meeting at Singapore Tourism Board in which they are actually wanted to set up International Students Association throughout Singapore. The cool thing is that I met a lot of new friends from other countries there, e.g.: Cambodia, Myanmar, Madagascar (yeah...I like to move it too..), Mauritius (just WOW!!), China, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, and Canada. Gotta admit that they are all very friendly and sociably, thus I really enjoy my time there. A JC student even took me in as JC student. She never thought that I am actually ** years old haha and she was shocked to learn that I am on my 3rd year in University....haha *sheepish...and grateful hauhauhau

When everybody else is kia-su on their study....I am stuck with my meetings and activities...OMG!! please bless me God!!

Yow..I finally receive my first salary from Fish n Co. But guess what? they made a mistake...and in the end, I only received payment for an hour's work as well as the $15 from training session. Thus, adding another $0.19 as tips (see, now you know how cheapo and stingy Singaporeans are..hihi *pizz), I just added another $19.69 into my bank account. Bravo Diana!!

Hm..okei lar, cannot feel bad and sad for too long. Look at the bright side of it: You have another $108 from 24 hours of work to be debited into your account next month (start counting down from 30...huhu) and that means around $200++ of additional money. But it's fine though, I am quite happy for winning the prize, at least I have another 72 bucks in my pocket (yeah..and the printer will be transferred to the other side of my room..hihi my roomie bought it). More over, my friend is going to buy my Spanish textbook and workbook...even though I sell them like only 55% from the original price. I am quite happy still! Ow..and talk about money..I bought my CS301 photo-copied textbook from the photocopy shop in my school compound. Ugh..talk about Plagiarism..and now they sell it in school =.=' but no matter what, it is still quite expensive. I spend $31.9 for two photo-copied textbooks...from the original price of $90..hm..almost 30% saving, but still...aiya...

Realize that I have spent quite amount of money this month..huhu count that 2 trips to Johor..and special yumcha and occassions. But some of them are spent for my AIESEC and IAF2005 events, so will claim the receipts soon haha...feeling better now. It can up to $200 you know...it's not even play play..hauhauahua

Yosh...and now I remember the two main important resources in the society (taken from CS301-Media Management or sort of mangement thingie hihi): TIME and MONEY.
True?
What do you think?

hapi national day

WAKS...a belated HAPPY NATIONAL DAY to Singapore hehe
a sea of red is everywhere...from MRT stats, the buildings, the flags and even the tees and the cheeks on their faces.

Yah, ude semakin ga sempet buat update blog gue huhu *kasiannya dikau kutinggalkan sendiri ^^

Milih2 biar dapet group Batman and barengan ama anak2 laennya (FYI, by this tim, anak2 gue ude ilang kesebar d group2 yg berbeda, soale yg senior2nya kaya gue2 gini keasikan ngobrol hihi). Yaks..and end up lar kita senior2 di group yg sama, BATMAN haha and biar ga sama ama group Batman yg sebelumnya ude pada ngumpul and keramean, kita diminta buat ngebuat group lagi..berisi kurang lebih 10 orang doank bow...hauhauhau So, BATMAN FOREVER pun keluar hihi

Yah to make it short, ada acara games, drama yg jayus hihi, and ada Joy Tobing 'Indonesian Idol' juga. Duduk dengan pedenya di barisan depan, asli deh..cuma 3 meter dari panggung hihi..kita ngeliat Joy ude kaya ama temen lama aje..*malu2 dink..Emang deh, ga bsia gue pungkiri suaranya die emang MANTABH..cuma kurang the X factor aja hehe yg bikin lucu mala MC-nya yg dengan malu2, loncat2 kaya ank teenager kalo lagi ditanyain ama crushnya hihi...yang mala tersipu2 waktu si Joy nanya namanya hauhahuaha and si Ivan JL juga yang jadi pengiring musicnya...salting gtu hoho

After dat, lucky draw time. Pemenang k3..Liliana (yah...tipis deh ama Lilyana yg duduk d sebelah kanan gue). Pemenang ke2..Dian dari NUS (huhu makin tipis ama Diana yang duduk diapit Lilyana alias Lele and Raymond). Sembari JJG (jayus jayus gembira hihi), kita prediksi yg menang pertama itu Raymona (plesetan dari Raymond)...and akhirnya..pemenang pertama....DIANA DAWIDSON haha...gubraks..kaget banget..wong ga ngisi form apa2 kok..haha ya ud deh cengengesan aja naek ke atas panggung, ambil printer Canon and sun pipi kiri n kanan ma si Joy...hauhauhua..wat a wonderful nite!

Lanjut, kita berame2..berpuluh2..ga boong dink...ampe panjang bgt barisannya, lanjut jalan ke Esplanade buat ntn fireworks jam 12 malem. Wah, ada panggung guede d tgh and mereka nyanyiin lagu2 HOT yang bikin bergoyang2, berjoged2. Ga terasa jam 12 teng...dari bagian kanan keluar dfeh kembang api nyembur2. Sayang banget, tmpt kembang apinya ga strategis, soale jadi ketutupan pohon and ga jelas dari sebelah kiri penonton.

Pokoke, ditunggu lagi deh kumpul2nya....huhuhu walo lom sempet megang buku pljran and projects menunggu dikelonin ama maminya...hiks...hiks...crutt...

Hm..kayanya lately susah bgt nyari waktu buat rest well. Malem balik2 dari kerja or kegiatan..musti buru2 mandi, then cek email yg bejibun (euy, ank2 Haqim Bau jgn nge-flood dunk huhu), cek2 GJ (ga jelas alias webmail skul, koran, etc), then ya chatting btr hehe (ini neh yg bikin no time kali yaa...), then bobo. Besok paginya musti bangun pagi huhu padahal mata maksa mao nutup. Alhasil kaya ari ini, gue bobo deh d MRT, di fud court haha (yeah..you're right...FOOD COURT bow!!)..

And ga bisa dipungkiri lagi, betis gue bisa2 makin kekar, kaki makin berotot n ber-varises deh huhu..pegelnya ude ga bisa diomongin lagi. Pengen bisa rendam aer panas, kasi aromaterapi, pengen pijat refleksi (hihi, geli ga ya? tar gue ketawa ketiwi lagi..hihi), pengen bobo lamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa deh.

Jadinya kemaren setelah ga sempet temenin dd gue have fun d Spore in the morning and afternoon, sorenya kita ketemuan d Clementi..(dudul mode, coz gue nunggu di lante atas depan tmpt MRTnya..and die nunggu di luar stat control...aiyaya). Langsung cabut ke Orchard soale malemnya janji ketemuan temen skul lama dari Penang yang kerja n skul d Spore, Wei Qi and Tonk2. Waks...what can I say? in two days, diet apa pun pasti ancur haha...da makan d fud court, minum d Pepper house, nangkring d Pho-sumthing hihi lupa (cafe d sblhnya Nude and Aquadisiacnya Atria). Ude gtu buru2 pulang sblm kena surcharge taxi 50% gara2 lewat jam 12 hihi *ampas banget deh..

Jadinya kita punya ard 6 hours d Johor haha..dimulai dengan petualangan mencari tmpt makan...and we ended up having lunch at Secret Recipe (main dishesnya seh biasa aja, but browniesnya...aduhaiii....asli uenakkk bgt ahha and murah kalo compare ama Spore hihi just RM3.5), then jjs cuci mata and shopping..Padini, sepatu, tas yang ga ketemu2...ampe da pegel akhirnya beli mangga potong and minuman dulu hihi trus lanjut dgn jjs btr sebelum memutuskan rest d Food court. a man and a woman

In a brief conversation, a man asked a woman he was pursuing the question "What kind of man are you looking for?"

She sat quietly for a moment before looking him in the eye and asking "Do you really want to know?"

Reluctantly, he said "Yes."

She began to expound...

"As a woman in this day and age, I am in a position to ask a man what he can do for me that I can't do for myself. I pay my own bills. I take care of my household without the help of any man...or woman for that matter.

I am in the position to ask, "What can you bring to the table?"

The man looked at her. Clearly he thought that she was referring to money...$$$$$

She quickly corrected his thought and stated, "I am not referring to money".

"I need something more. I need a man who is striving for perfection in every aspect of life."

He sat back in his chair, folded his arms, and asked her to explain.

She said, "I am looking for someone who is striving for perfection mentally because I need conversation and mental stimulation. I don't need a simple minded man."

"I am looking for someone who is striving for perfection spiritually because I don't need to be unequally yoked... believers mixed with unbelievers is a recipe for disaster."

"I need a man who is striving for perfection financially because I don't need a financial burden."

"I am looking for someone who is sensitive enough to understand what I go through as a woman, but strong enough to keep me grounded."

"I am looking for someone who I can respect. In order to be submissive, I must respect him."

"I cannot be submissive to a man who isn't taking care of his business. I have no problem being submissive ... he just has to be worthy. God made woman to be a help mate for man."

"I can't help a man if he can't help himself."

When she finished her spill, she looked at him.

He sat there with a puzzled look on his face. He said, "You are asking a lot."

She replied, "I'm worth a lot."

OH LA LA....

GTD ga bakalan sama n seseru ini kalo GL2nya ga kompak and asik2 aja. Kangen....kangen....kapan lagi bisa ngerecokin yg laen, kapan lagi bisa ngegodain yg "kekar", kapan lagi bisa teriak2an, bisa kejer2an, bisa ketawa2 bareng....ah...susah euy!! Masa teriak2 d skul...tar security dipanggil lagi hehe

Yang pasti, sebelum Haqim Bau berpisah, kita ude janjian buat pergi ke Indonesian Freshmen Nite Senin depan...rame2 lagi, bisa cheers2 lagi...ahh pengen buruan aja deh hehe...and asiknya, anak2 Haqim Bau emang seru2, waks..jadi terharu ama mereka2 semua. Lom lagi partner gue yg ngelo, Ainun Najib, senior2 attach yg selalu ngedukung n kreatif2, Bowo, Halim, Lissi, Herry, Bogel, Arief, Inneke....kalian semua emang "BAU" hihi

HIDUP HAQIM BAU!! emang kalian paling bisingg..yg laennya, EGP aja!!

Dee-am tak mampoe bersoeara..
